So Close, Yet So Far
I have been trying to think of the right words to describe this precious country but I keep finding myself speechless. Those of you who know me well will know it is a rare occasion for me to not talk everyone's ear off. It is so hard to believe that these sweet kiddos are only a 90 minute plane ride away from Miami yet they have so little. The moment I met these precious kids, they stole my heart. They are so full of love and take nothing for granted. I have already learned so much more from them than I could ever teach them. The best way to share my experience so far is through pictures.
I had the opportunity to spend all day with the little kids at the orphanage, ages 0-4. I am so glad I had my iPod and iPod docking station. The kids loved singing and dancing. Most of all, they wanted me to hold and love them. When I rocked them they zonked out in my arms. I felt like I rocked babies to sleep all day long. My arms are so sore - but I cherished every minute!
Andrew got Jobe to smile! First smile we had seen from him since we arrived.

WOW!! I was actually going to text you in the morning to see if you had left yet! Looks lke you have and have had a more than memorable and life changing experience! You are such a warm-hearted, kind, giving, all around amazing person and I am sure you have touched all of their lives as much as they have touched yours. I could not even imagine how phenomenal of a time everyone must have shared together. I cannot wait to hear about your wonderful experience! Nooodddllles sometime soon? :)
