So Close, Yet So Far

I have been trying to think of the right words to describe this precious country but I keep finding myself speechless.  Those of you who know me well will know it is a rare occasion for me to not talk everyone's ear off.  It is so hard to believe that these sweet kiddos are only a 90 minute plane ride away from Miami yet they have so little. The moment I met these precious kids, they stole my heart.  They are so full of love and take nothing for granted.  I have already learned so much more from them than I could ever teach them. The best way to share my experience so far is through pictures.
I had the opportunity to spend all day with the little kids at the orphanage, ages 0-4.  I am so glad I had my iPod and iPod docking station. The kids loved singing and dancing.  Most of all, they wanted me to hold and love them.  When I rocked them they zonked out in my arms.  I felt like I rocked babies to sleep all day long.  My arms are so sore - but I cherished every minute!

Andrew got Jobe to smile!  First smile we had seen from him since we arrived.

I'd like to introduce you to Palo and Rebecca!

Look at these two little cuties!

We had a lot of fun with stickers today!

 Just rocking and cuddling.

 Such a happy smiley girl.

My sweet little Rebecca fell asleep on my shoulder several times today.  She is a cuddle bug!  I adore her.

 Silly boy!
 SMILE!!!

We had lots of fun taking pictures of our crazy faces!
