A trip to remember!

Unfortunately we didn't have internet at our hotel in London so this blog post will be three days in one.

It was a sad time saying goodbye to Kate on Saturday morning. We had a great week of camp and we worked together wonderfully! Hopefully I have another opportunity to run a camp with her in the future!

I somehow managed to figure out the public bus system by myself and made it to the hotel by the airport where I met up with Ryan. I literally walked in and put my stuff down and we were out the door 5 minutes later excited to explore London.

Our first stop was Buckingham Palace.
I can't explain this face... I really was excited to be there!
As we walked around I took pleasure in posing like statues. You of course can't see the statue I'm impersonating in this picture because Ryan's new favorite game is to zoom WAY in on my face.
We walked through an adorable park on our way to Trafalgar Square. It was our first day back together after our week of camps and we were already making faces at each other.

Those adorable red phone booths were EVERYWHERE in London!!
Rachael- "Ryan look! A pay phone!!"
"OH MY GOSH IT STINKS SO BAD!!"
"Hold on, I'll hold my breath so you can take a picture."
"Hurry and take the picture!!!"
Ryan didn't want his picture taken in a phone booth for some reason...

We noticed as we walked along that there are guards on horses everywhere. These guards in particular just stand here all day long. I felt really bad for both the horses and the guards but Ryan pointed out they get to hold really big and cool swords so that makes it all better. And I'd like to point out those hats... can you say awesome?

On Sunday morning we headed out extra early so that we could see the changing of the guards at Buckingham palace. Naturally we would be there on the one day that there was a bicycle race going on so the changing of the guards was canceled. We had big sad faces about that.

It was shortly after leaving Buckingham Palace that we were almost squashed by a double decker bus because we looked the wrong way before crossing the street. Luckily when we looked down we discovered that the city of London helps their tourists out a bit by writing right their on the street which way to look before crossing.
You may not know this about me but I am basically OBSESSED with Harry Potter. Ryan has never read the books or seen the movies but I’m pretty sure he's going to be falling in love soon too (with the books and movies that is) after all our Harry Potter adventures in London.

We went on a Harry Potter walk on Sunday where our fabulous tour guide Richard took us around to the places in London where the Harry Potter movies were filmed.

This is Richard. He’s awesome. We got to know each other right off the bat because I lost my sticker indicating that I paid before the tour even started (naturally) so I had to convince him that I was the girl who he gave the student discount to even though I didn’t have my student ID card. He called me naughty and gave me a new sticker. Then of course we discovered that my original sticker was never lost but simply tangled in my hair. We bonded and were BFFs for the rest of the tour.

Got my sticker and I’m ready for the tour!!

Ladies and gentleman, this is the door to the Leaky Cauldron seen in movies one and three. It of course was black in the movies.

Recognize this bridge? Harry Potter 6 anyone?

The tour took over two hours but we saw so many neat things and learned tons about London! Our tour didn’t include Kings Cross Station in it but Richard gave us directions on how to get there. On Saturday Ryan and I attempted to check out platform 9 and ¾ but we got lost on the way there and ended up in a scary gangster neighborhood. We were nearly attacked by crazy local gangsters but luckily Ryan grabbed my hand and we booked it out of there… FAST!!! It was the first time I’ve ever seen Ryan legitimately scared. I of course was terrified especially with all the riots that have been going on in that area!!! By the time we got to Kings Cross we were so traumatized that we just hopped right on a train and got the heck out of there. Inspired by our Harry Potter tour though we decided to put on our brave pants and attempt Kings Cross station one more time.

WE MADE IT THIS TIME!!! (I'm not gonna lie, I pictured it WAY different in my head)

And we found platform nine and three quarters.

Here I am pushing my cart through the wall.

London was an amazing way to end our trip! We definitely crammed a weeks worth of stuff into a day in a half but I loved it!! I love British people and I especially love listening to them speak!

Ryan and I were sad to head to the airport this morning but happy to be heading home.

I can't wait until the next adventure!

Punting anyone?

I can't believe how fast this week flew by! We had a wonderful last day with our Lakenheath campers. The base is planning on starting five DI teams in the fall so I am sure hoping I see these awesome kiddos next May at Global Finals! I told them I'd be watching for them.

After camp Kate and I decided to head to Cambridge for the afternoon. We called our good friends at Phoenix Taxi to take us to Brandon where we would take the train to Cambridge.

I was beginning to question the relationship the base has with Phoenix Taxi when the cab driver pulled up here to drop us off in what looked like the capital of Sketchville.

He knew what he was doing though and we safely boarded the train to Cambridge.
So apparently in England you purchase your train ticket once you are on board and well on your way. I had fun pretending I was on the Hogwarts Express and that the lady coming through collecting money was actually selling snacks off the trolly. It was great fun! That is until we got off the train at Cambridge and couldn't get out of the train station because the lady on the train accidently sold us tickets for tomorrow instead of today. Luckily the man at the gate was sympathetic to our situation and let us out.

We headed straight toward the water because we heard that Punting is "the thing" to do in Cambridge. Neither of us knew what the heck Punting was but it sounded fun enough so we headed on our way.

As soon as we reached the water we were attacked by a bunch of "Punters" (is that what you call them?) working for a business wanting to take us on tours. When we found out is was 27 pounds to go we decided to take a walk and think about it.

The walk along the river is absolutely beautiful! Please forgive my hair... I have no control. It has a mind of it's own this week.

We enjoyed double scoops of ice cream. They even have special double scoop cones here!
We planted ourselves in the grass and decided to watch some people without punting experience attempt to get themselves down the river without a guide. Feeling adventurous, I was considering putting on my brave pants and giving it a go.

That was until we saw what a strain such a simple concept was putting on this poor couples' relationship. They ran into the wall and then proceeded to argue right in front of us for about ten minutes. It was medium awkward....
Just when we had made up our minds not to go punting, we were approached by a different man who wasn't wearing the same Punting outfit that the other people were wearing. He acted oh so mortified that the other people were going to charge us 27 pounds and offered instead to have one of his "attractive young men" (and I quote him directly) take us on a tour for 9 pounds each. This sounded promising so we agreed to do it. After we handed our money to a strange women talking on her phone and eating ice cream she instructed us to walk straight down the path until we got to a large tree. She said Luke was waiting for us. At this point we began to question who the heck was taking us out on a boat since this is clearly some sort of "private" business.

As soon as we met Luke however, we hopped right in that boat with six other people and went on our merry way. We were of course right smack in the front of the boat only inches away from where Luke stood.

This is Luke. He's pretty stinkin' good at punting!
Kate and I in our front row seats!
Luke took us all the way down the river and past almost all of the universities including Cambridge University where Prince William and Kate Middleton went to school. Luke rattled off history like some sort of talking Almanac. Since Luke was cracking jokes the whole time and I was the only one in the boat who seemed to have a sense of humor I decided to shoot jokes right back. I asked Luke if he had to pass some sort of history test in order to be hired to take people down the river. He replied, "not really, no." I said, "Great, so you could actually just be making all this up?" He looked at me with a very serious face and said, "I would never take advantage of innocent tourists." He then proceeded to explain some nonsense about one of the buildings defying gravity. I busted up laughing and gave him a "you've got to be joking" face and he said, "hey, you asked for that one."

Everyone else in the boat still remained completely silent so Luke and I had a jolly old time making up ridiculous false facts to go along with the universities' history. He of course shared the truth with us as well (for the sake of all the "way too serious" people in the boat). The tour lasted about an hour but I'm mildly obsessed with British accents so I happily listened to every word. And then of course added in my own two sense in my ever so boring American way of talking.

A view of one of the Universities along the river.
And another one...
Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our friend Luke. We stopped for dinner before heading back to the train station.

When we got back to Brandon we called our Phoenix Taxi friends again. When we got in the car we heard a familiar Scottish accent say, "Oh, not you two again!!" I enthusiastically chanted, "Hey Kate, it's Mr. Disney World!" Sure enough, we ended up getting our same taxi driver from Wednesday night who happened to be the world's second biggest Disney fan (I'm of course the world's biggest Disney fan). We had a nice chat while John drove light speed down the middle of the road again all the way back to base. When we arrived at the Lodging office and opened the car doors John said, "Well, it's been emotional..." I replied, "John, are you going to be okay?" He fake sniffed and I said, "Let's take a moment... (silent pause) ... okay, moment over." John suddenly recovered from his fake sadness and said, "Yep, moment over." We hopped out of the car and waved goodbye and that was that. I can honestly say John is my most favorite Scottish Taxi driver I've ever met! (He may or may not also be the only Scottish Taxi driver I've ever met).

It's sad to leave Lakenheath but tomorrow I head to London to meet back up with Ryan until we fly home on Monday. Whew, where did the time go?

A bloody brilliant day in England!

Luckily Kate and I had a disaster free morning at camp which after yesterday's start with the water balloons and drenching of the bathroom, was a huge relief!!

This is by far the most enthusiastic bunch of campers I have ever worked with! It is so much fun to have them come running into camp begging me to tell them what we are doing today because they just can't wait a minute longer to find out. One boy brought me a robot that he made at home last night out of left over pipe cleaners and straws that we let him take home. The kid loves camp so much that he staid up all night practicing building stuff!! I can already guarantee I won't want to say goodbye to my England kiddos on Friday!

After camp Kate and I decided to take a taxi to a nearby town since we have done everything there is to do on base... more than once! With the suggestions of the youth center staff we headed to Bury St. Edmonds. Apparently today was kind of a big day because it's "market day!" We didn't really know what that meant but everyone else seemed to be ecstatic about it so we smiled and nodded real big and said, "oh boy, market day!!"

Bury St. Edmonds reminds me a lot of the town we stayed in last Saturday only instead of a population of 20 I'd say they have about 50. Okay... they have more than 50 but you get the gist. Everyone knows everyone and you can walk the whole town in about 20 min. We had a lovely time though.

We visited Abbey Garden which is where a huge castle used to reside. There are still pieces of the castle scattered all about.
We followed the locals' lead and treated ourselves to some afternoon tea. This definitely needs to become a part of my regular daily routine at home!
We visited the world's smallest pub. Yes, I mean the world's SMALLEST! It's actually in the Guinness Book of World Records. Okay... well that's what our cab driver said at least and I like to believe everyone tells the truth. From the looks of it, I would guess the maximum capacity of the building is 8 people. That's including the bar tender. If you'd like to look it up however, I won't stop you. Let me know what you find!
While looking for this tiny pub we came across an old fashioned phone both!
We had fun pretending we knew how to use it.

Rachael- "Yes, look here it's very simple. Just dial the number..."
Kate having way too much fun in the phone both!

We decided we'd like to be locals and eat at an English Pub. We couldn't fit in the world's smallest so we selected this one because apparently they have good food!
Their sign wasn't lying, the food was delicious! I wouldn't bet against this pub being the world's second smallest though. It's clear that everyone in the pub were locals except us. We felt very cozy inside. Rather than walking to our table and taking our order the lady at the bar just yelled across the room to us in her adorable british accent, "Well, what are you having then?" By the time we left we were speaking like british people and feeling right at home.

The cab ride back was the biggest adventure of the evening. The cab car was a long and tall but skinny and rectangular shaped neon green and yellow car. I'm wondering now why Kate and I didn't question this... but we just hopped in like it was the most normal car on the road and we were wondering what in the world was wrong with all the other cars. Our cab driver was a Scottish man who drove light speed (90mph), believed in driving in the middle of the road, and is quite possibly the 2nd biggest Disney fan next to me.

Definitely a solid evening! Or as our cab driver would say, "bloody brilliant!"

Jello, Harpoons, Babies, and water balloon disasters... just a normal day of camp!

So far camp at Lakenheath AFB has been fantastic! We started yesterday morning with a small but very enthusiastic seven campers. Today we had twelve. We may still be a small group as far as numbers go but boy are these twelve campers creative and a joy to work with. In this group, kids really do say the darndest things!

We started off our first day of camp with an activity called Beach ball Brainstorm that involved crazy "what if" questions and a beach ball. I've never had a group of kids love this game so much! These guys would have happily played this game for the whole three hours. The campers were so hilarious with their answers that Kate and I are still laughing about it. For example,

Question- "What if we lived underwater?"
Serious camper- "I'd make sure I had a harpoon."
(A harpoon? Why didn't I think of that?)

Question (asked by a camper)- "What if the clouds were made out of cotton candy?"
Miss Rachael- "I think I'd get a big belly from eating so much!"
Concerned camper- (says very seriously) "Just make sure you're not pregnant when that happens!"
Miss Rachael- "Oh... right. Thanks for the heads up."
Concerned camper- "No problem."

Question- "What if Penguins lived on the moon?"
Enthusiastic camper- "I'd take up a team of astronauts and play with them!!!"
Practical camper- "They'd die."
(The rest of the campers just stare at the practical camper with sad eyes like he just ran over their pet!)

Question- "What if we had lions and tigers as pets?"
Harpoon answer camper- "I'd teach them to hunt!"
Enthusiastic camper- "I'd give them a bath and dress them up all cute!"
Practical camper- "I'd move."

Now after camp whenever Kate or I talk about eating lots of food, the other always responds with "Just make sure you're not pregnant when you do that!" Or if one of us talks about going somewhere the other says, "Make sure you take your harpoon!"

This morning we started with a team building activity that included water balloons... lots and lots of water balloons. Kate and I rushed into the bathroom to fill them up before the campers arrived. Before we could even fill up one balloon though Kate dropped hers down the drain. She tried to save it but it was a goner. We looked down the drain then up at each other and busted up laughing. Kate responded with "Ooops!" Kate decided to put a paper towel down over the drain to prevent that from happening again. After we each filled up one balloon successfully we thought we were on a role! Obviously not though because Kate's second balloon shot off the faucet and flew all over the room spraying water every which way as it went. Kate immediately yelled "Shoot!" (she may or may not have yelled a more inappropriate word) as she chased the balloon all over the bathroom. I would have helped her but I was doubled over in hysterical laughter gasping for air. After Kate wiped up all the water (and I could kind of breathe again) she brushed the water off her face and we each grabbed another balloon. We relaxed a little when we successfully put four more water balloons in the bucket. Just when we thought we were past the disasters Kate didn't realize the top of her next balloon had a hole in it. As soon as she turned the water on it started spraying out onto the wall rather than in the balloon. In a panic she quickly tried to turn the water off. However, here in England the faucets work a little differently and instead of turning it off she turned it on full blast and this time drenched the walls, the floor, the mirror, and the counters. I was a complete goner by this point. While Kate said more inappropriate words and grabbed mounds of paper towels (which were completely soaked and soggy because they were sitting on the counter) and tried to clean off the mirror I just doubled over again and began hyperventilating from laughing so hard. We kind of pulled it together enough to finish filling up the bucket with balloons. We decided we needed a small break and took the bucket outside. When we walked out of the bathroom though and into the break room there was another lady from the youth center staff sitting at the table staring up at us with a concerned face. We just smiled and pretended we weren't soaking wet and didn't practically ruin the bathroom and rushed passed her and out the door.

Luckily the campers LOVED LOVED LOVED the activity though so our chaotic and gut-busting morning was totally worth it!

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! We are also planning on traveling to a nearby town tomorrow for some sort of festival. The youth center director was mortified today when he found out we haven't left base since we got here and rather than dropping us off at lodging he dropped us off at an information center he was sure could help us figure out something to do! He said, "Go on, get out of here and go have some fun! What the heck (again, he may or may not have used a different word) have you been doing?"

Journey to England!

Yesterday morning bright and early I began my second leg of this big adventure. I took a short flight from Paris to London where I met up with Kate from Destination ImagiNation Headquarters who I will be running a camp with this week at Lakenheath AFB. We took the National Express bus two and a half hours from Heathrow to Mildenhall. Since we both get terrible motion sickness we sat in the front seat where we had an exciting and terrifying view of driving on the left side of the road. It felt a little bit like the Star Tours ride at Disney Land- only it was in England... not outer space.

When we arrived in Mildenhall we walked about 100ft to The Bell Hotel which is the cutest little place I've ever seen. It felt a little bit like we were in a happy movie where there are literally 20 people total in the whole town and a quarter work at our hotel/pub and the rest are regulars to the pub. Nobody is stressed or in a hurry and everyone LOVES new faces. It's kind of like Christmas every time a new person checks in. We felt very welcomed!

The jaunt to our room however was not our favorite and definitely an adventure in itself.

First we had to climb the staircase which was narrower than our suitcases.
Then we had to walk down about six different hallways all on the same floor to get to our room. I noticed that on the first page in the hotel binder in our room was a note that couldn't stress enough the importance of familiarizing yourself with how to get to the lobby from your room in case of a fire. I think Kate and I both agreed that it would be safer to just jump out a window than try to find our way back through the maze of doors and hallways.

Naturally after we got all settled in, we realized we were both starving from our trip. We headed down to the pub which seemed to be the most popular place in town. When we inquired about getting some food the man looked both confused by our question and sorry that he let us down when he explained, "but it's not dinner time yet." Neither Kate or I realized that in England (or at least Mildenhall) many restaurants only serve food at certain times also known as "meal times." Luckily there was a little Italian restaurant right next door that didn't follow the norm and instead served food all day long. When we walked in there was only one person about our age working and again just like at the hotel, he was so excited to have some company that it almost made me sad. The first thing he said after he grabbed his notepad and came running over was, "Oh thank goodness, I've been bloody board out of my mind!" Every time he came to take our order or bring us drinks or check on us he would just stand there and smile at us real big like he was hoping we'd talk to him a little longer. So we had a jolly old time chatting it up with the waiter.
Since we were eating at such an abnormal time (3:00pm) we had the whole resaurant to ourselves!
Kate sitting in the very empty Italian restaurant with what I think was supposed to be peaceful music blasting in the background.

When we returned back to our room with full stomachs we were both so exhausted (me from not sleeping all week and Kate from her long flight from Philadelphia) that we put on a movie on Kate's laptop and both fell asleep.

This morning we worked our way through the maze of hallways from our room down to the lobby/pub of the hotel. We were again greeted with a peppy "Good morning!" The kind man instructed us that breakfast was right through the doors. An adorable old woman greeted us with "coffee or tea my dears?" We ordered , "tea please" and helped ourselves to some food. The precious lady brought us some tea in a tea set just like in the movies. Nobody brings you tea like this in the United States and if you order tea in the Tri-Cities be prepared to get Lipton in regular drinking glasses. But here in England I was taken right by to my childhood days where I was THE QUEEN of tea parties. Tea parties in Rachael's playhouse were kind of the "place to be" when I was little. So I poured Kate some tea and we had our own little tea party.
I was obviously just so excited about the tea that instead of scooping the sugar into my cup I poured it all over the table. Ooops...
I tried to hold the cup all proper like I practiced so many times when I was little but the cup was so hot that I had to use two hands... and I burned my tongue. I guess I forgot to wait for it to cool a little. Again... I was just so excited!

After breakfast we said fairwell to our friends in Mildenhall and took a taxi to our base.

Goodbye friends, it was lovely meeting you!
I'm not gonna lie, our taxi driver had mad multi-tasking skills. She talked on her radio, her phone, and to us all at the same time. Oh, and did I mention she was driving a stick?

Our POC was right there to meet us at the gate and take us around base. As soon as we got to the Youth Center and saw where we will be doing the camp, we were so glad we got to set up and plan today. The room is fit for about 10 kids and we are supposed to have close to 30 in the morning session. It took us about 3 hours to both rearrange the room, figure out how in the world we are going to have 30 kids building towers and doing relays, and make up our own challenge to fit one that just wouldn't work with our circumstances. We were also glad we had enough time to blow up all the beach balls without passing out since we didn't get an electric pump in our luggage this year.

Kate's a champ though. She blew up most of them by herself.
I am very excited to work with Kate this week. I can tell we will be a great team. It's going to be a fun week at Lakenheath!!

Au revoir Paris! It's been great!

I don't think I've mentioned it yet but Ryan and I have been fighting an ongoing battle with our apartment washer/dryer (it's a two in one) that is crammed into our tiny bathroom this entire week. Just when we think we finally got it figured out the clothes come out soaking wet. When we try to use just the dryer they come out completely steamed and even more wet. All we wanted to do this morning was wash the towels so the apartment owners didn't have to. The washer/dryer was having none of it though. Eventually we came to a point where Ryan and I both were just sitting on the bathroom floor crisscross applesauce staring at the darn thing. That didn't seem to work either so we tried reading the directions again. I gave up because I don't read directions and went to start packing. Luckily Ryan stuck with it and finally got it working.

After the washer/dryer fiasco we headed out for a morning walk around.
(Me heading out the main entrance to the apartment building)

We stopped at our favorite bakery. We made friends with the lady working there and visited her almost everyday. Ryan loved it because she could understand his French and he could understand hers. They bonded over this. I just smiled and nodded a lot and gave an occasional thumbs up.

After strolling around the streets and visiting shops for a couple hours we headed back toward the apartment. We had to stop however because Ryan saw Quick. Quick is a fast food restaurant that we never visited until today but walked passed daily to get to our apartment. For some reason I'll never understand, Ryan is obsessed with this place. Everytime we walk past he starts wigging out and yelling, "QUICK! QUICK! QUICK! QUICK!" over and over again in a crazy tone. When I questioned him about this weird fascination he said, "Well, at least I'm not obsessed with French toilets!!" After comtemplating this for a moment I decided that french toilets are indeed weirder than Quick. So today I stopped into Quick without complaints. There was one item on the menu that immediately caught both our eyes. We looked at each other at the same time and said, "INTENSE milkshakes??" For only 1 euro and a name like that, we couldn't resist.

We drank our INTENSE milkshakes with INTENSITY!

There was one museum that my uncle recommended that Ryan and I both wanted to see but hadn't had a chance yet. So after we were recovered from all that intenseness we headed off to visit the Pompidou museum. Unlike at Louvre, we could actually walk around this museum without being trampled by stampedes of people. We could stop and enjoy a piece of art and even read about it if we wanted to. This was a modern art museum so we had a blast walking around and creating our own meanings and purposes for the art on display.

For example...

We believe this piece of art would go great out on a patio. You know, put a table under it and enjoy some meals protected from the weather by a giant mushroom!

I would like to put this in the middle of my bedroom...

And this...

And this...
Nah! Just kidding, that would be 100% creepy!

We believe the inspiration for this piece was the Paris metro system.

The world would be a better place if all our fences looked like these!

We believe this is a hammock. Ryan and I would like to build our own one of these.
The plan: step 1- Go to a dumpster and take metal, lots of medal.
Step 2- Weld the metal together. That's as far as we got... should work right?

Naturally we had to check out the toilets in the Pompidou. I was pretty excited when I saw this sparkly and inviting sign. And guess what? They're free!
Do not be fooled though... the inside is dreadful... smelly and dreadful!
We had so much fun in the Pompidou today! What a neat place full of so many varieties of modern art! This is a place you could spend hours and hours!

Sadly, we had to pack it up after we got back from the Pompidou. We took the metro to the airport and are staying in a hotel right next door. Can you believe the week is already over? Au revoir (goodbye) Paris! What an amazing place!

Tomorrow Ryan will head to Germany and I will go to England where I'm meeting up with Kate who works at Destination ImagiNation Headquarters in New Jersey. We are very excited to be running a camp together all next week at Lakenheath AFB. Stay tuned because next week will be a whole new world of adventures!

A Day at the Happiest Place on Earth! French style...

When I woke up this morning with having had again only 3 hours a sleep, a jolting pain went shooting in all directions of my body. I laid there and wondered what the heck I did to become this sore. Then I remembered yesterday... beach volleyball, amazing dive, ripping of the pants... need I say more?

We had it all planned out to get up early and head to Versailles for a day trip today. Our plans changed last minute when we found out the metro line we needed to take was closed. So we sat... and sat... and sat... trying to figure out something else fun to do. We went and got breakfast then came back and contemplated some more. Finally at the same time Ryan and I said, "Let's go to Disneyland Paris! Let's just do it!" I think it's fair to say that Ryan and I are both mildly obsessed with Disney and by mildly I mean extremely so it seemed perfect!

Since there are few words that can describe the happiest place on earth I think pictures and descriptions will best tell the story of our amazing day at Disneyland Paris!

Bienvenue to Disneyland Paris!!

The minute I walked in and saw my castle, I mean Cinderella's castle I felt right at home. Disneyland and I were made for each other!
We started with Indiana Jones which is totally a roller coaster ride at Disneyland Paris unlike back home!
Last summer Ryan and I went to Disneyland California and I dragged him around the park on a "find the Princesses mission" the ENTIRE day! I decided since I already owe him for saving the day yesterday, I could settle for a quick tea part with the Mad Hatter instead!

Ready for my tea!

Just saying hello to my castle! They obviously forgot I was coming and locked my door...

We found the cutest little boat ride which we don't have in California. Naturally it started to rain!

Which did amazing things to my hair.
And by amazing I mean terribly awful!

This is how much my drenched hair scared us!
But we carried on anyway! Hoping my hair would scare others out of their places in line. Thunder Mountain was AMAZING!!!! It is WAY better than ours!
Also, guess who has her own village in Disneyland Paris?
Pocahontas!!!

And the Queen from Alice and Wonderland has her own labyrnth!
Rachael- "I dunno which way to go!"
Ryan- (says confidently) "We go this way!"

Nope, not going to fit through that door...
Taking a picture of Ryan taking a picture of me with the card stacks.
We found our way out and headed for Pirates of the Caribbean. No explanation needed for this one...
WE LOVE SPACE MOUNTAIN!!

We decided to end the evening with my personal favorite It's a Small World. Gosh that's such a happy ride!
On our way out, I found a spot for my future bakery. Two of my favorite things (Disney and baking) all in one park. I don't think it could get much better than that!
What a fabulous day at the Happiest place on earth... French style!
